The Certificate of Achievement in Analog Photography combines artistic design with the technology of film processing. Students will explore the beauty and aesthetics of film photography while gaining the skills necessary to properly expose, process, and produce prints using a variety of traditional, historic, and experimental darkroom processes in the traditional wet darkroom. 

To earn a Certificate of Achievement in Analog Photography, students complete 21 specified units. This program will immerse students in a creative environment where they will develop their artistic abilities and technical expertise necessary to enter the very competitive profession of photography. Instruction is provided in both black and white and color photography. 

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: 

• Demonstrate skills in camera operation while applying historical and contemporary analog photography processes.
• Create and critique photographic works utilizing appropriate compositional considerations and darkroom techniques.
