The Associated Student Government of Oxnard College
Established in 1977, the Associated Student Government (ASG) of Oxnard College serves as the official student governing body, committed to amplifying student voices and building an inclusive, engaged college community. In alignment with Oxnard College's mission, ASG empowers students to pursue their educational, career, and personal goals through equitable leadership, meaningful involvement, and community partnership. Guided by equity-minded values, ASG honors the rich diversity and lived experiences of the students it serves.
Scholarship
ASG supports the academic success of students by fostering a culture of learning both in and outside the classroom. Through collaboration with college programs, ASG helps connect students to college resources and advocate for initiatives that support educational advancement.
Advocacy
ASG is dedicated to advocacy rooted in equity-minded decision-making that addresses student needs and strengthens the college experience for all. Through participation on college and district committees, ASG amplifies the student voice, advocates for inclusive student programming and champions policies and practices that promote belonging, access and student well-being.
Leadership
ASG provides students with transformative opportunities to grow as student leaders and changemakers. Students develop leadership skills through participation in college governance and conferences and gain real-world experience by organizing events, managing projects and representing student needs and interests in college decision-making.
