Moorpark College Student Outreach

The Moorpark College Student Outreach Office assists students and the college community in general, in achieving their higher education goals, by providing information and access to the academic and student service programs available on campus. Through outreach efforts at our local feeder high schools and surrounding communities, the Outreach Office facilitates the transition from high school to college providing information regarding certificate, degree, and transfer program options. Additionally, the Outreach Office works with the Students Success Committee to support its programs and initiatives.

The Student Outreach office assists students with the application process and pre-registration tasks. It also coordinates on-campus high school and community events as well as conducts campus tours and visits.

First Year Experience

1. Demonstrate knowledge of Moorpark College academic and student support services. 
2. Demonstrate competence in academic major selection.  
3. Demonstrate increased motivation, persistence, and enhanced academic performance leading to their second year of college.

Second Year Experience

Moorpark College DREAMers

Moorpark College DREAMers is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for undocumented students and those from mixed-status families. Through intentional programming, dedicated resources, and strong community connections, we aim to uplift and support students while fostering a campus culture of equity, understanding, and belonging for all.

Student Learning Outcomes:

1. Gain awareness of the wide range of student success services available at Moorpark College—accessible to all students, regardless of immigration status.
2. Receive bilingual guidance (Spanish & English) to better understand and navigate the college enrollment process.
3. Access personalized assistance and referrals for completing important forms, including the Moorpark College application, AB 540 affidavit, CA Dream Act application, academic counseling, scholarships, and other vital campus resources.
4. Benefit from free and confidential immigration legal services, educational workshops, and Q&A sessions through our partnership with United Farm Workers (UFW).

Guardian Scholar

Moorpark College supports the academic and personal goals of current and former foster youth. We connect & support Foster Youth while increasing academic awareness and achievement as these students embark on their educational journey. Program for Accelerated College Education (PACE)

PACE is a college program designed for busy adults that enables you to complete an Associate degree in about two years. PACE students take two courses every eight weeks. Most courses are offered either 100 percent online or in a hybrid format (part of the course is online but will also include some face-to-face meetings on Saturday mornings). Raider Central

The Moorpark College Foundation

The Moorpark College Foundation was formed in 1980 and is a nonprofit, tax-exempt auxiliary organization that accepts and solicits gifts, donations, trusts, and bequests for college-related use. It provides tax-deductible advantages to the donor. It also provides a method for the college to interact with businesses, the government, and other nonprofit agencies in the broader Southern California community. Though public funds provide support for most of the instructional and related activities and facilities at the college, donations, gifts, and bequests provide a significant addition to institutional accomplishments. Private contributions are essential for the support of creative faculty efforts that extend beyond normal institutionally supported areas, including scholarships for incoming honor students and exiting transfer students, the Rising Scholars program, and necessary physical facilities such as America’s Teaching Zoo, the Charles Temple Observatory, Griffin Stadium, Raider’s Central - the campus' basic needs center, and special instructor-created projects that enhance a student’s learning experience.
